Almrose magnetic couplings are mechanical coupling devices between vehicles (passenger cars, wagons, motorcar or railcar elements) having the characteristic of allowing a bipolar electrical connection between the two attached elements.

The electrical connection allows electricity to be distributed throughout the convoy, limiting the use of power sockets on the axles.

Magnetic hitches are passive, meaning they do not require any electrical current for operation.

In fact, they exploit the intrinsic force of attraction of the magnetic discs located in the hitch box and made with a Neodymium-based alloy.
